1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how Calming Aura Studios LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the mobile application PCOS: Symptom & Period Tracker (the “App”).
By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
The App is a personal wellness and tracking tool. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice. Always consult a qualified clinician for health decisions.
2. Information we collect
What we collect depends on how you use the App. Much of the App works without creating an account.
2.1 Information you enter (health and wellness content)
You may choose to enter information such as:
- Symptom and cycle logs (including severity, flow, and related details)
- Energy notes and optional meal notes
- Medication and lab notes you enter manually
- Appointment prep notes (visit date, concerns, questions)
- Optional measurements (for example weight, waist, hip)
- Other text or selections you choose to save in the App
This information can be sensitive (including reproductive and menstrual health data). By default it is stored locally on your device using encrypted storage.
2.2 Optional account and sync
An app account is optional and is intended for features such as cross-device sync when offered. On iOS you may use Sign in with Apple; on Android you may use Google Sign-In. If you create an account, we may collect identifiers such as email address and authentication data from those providers needed to operate that account. Subscribing to Premium does not require an app account. Premium entitlement is checked from your Apple or Google store purchase on the device; optional account and sync does not move or replace that store subscription status.
2.3 Subscription and purchase information
If you purchase a subscription, payment is processed by Apple (App Store / StoreKit) or Google (Play Billing). We receive entitlement or receipt-related information needed to unlock Premium features. We do not receive or store your full payment card number. Subscription status remains with your Apple ID or Google account under store policies.
2.4 Device and technical information
The App and platform services may process limited technical information needed to run on your device (for example device type, OS version, crash diagnostics when provided by the platform, and app version).
2.5 What we do not collect by default
- We do not include advertising SDKs.
- We do not use third-party analytics that share device or usage data by default for advertising.
- We do not require a weight or BMI question to start using the App.
2.6 Premium AI summaries (when you request them)
If you subscribe to Premium and choose to generate a weekly or monthly AI summary, the App sends a limited structured snapshot of recent logs you already entered (for example dates, symptom labels, severity or flow details when present, energy, and optional meal notes). For a monthly summary, the App may also include short text from up to a few of your recent weekly summaries stored on your device.
That snapshot is sent over an encrypted connection to our backend (currently Supabase Edge Functions) and then to Google (Gemini API) solely to generate the summary you requested. We configure paid API access for this processing. We do not use your health content for advertising.
Generated summaries are returned to the App and stored on your device (you may delete them in the App). Free logging does not qualify for AI services.
3. How we use your information
We use information to:
- Provide App features you choose (logging, History for the last 7 days without a subscription and longer History ranges when you subscribe, prep, measurements, exports you generate)
- Generate Premium weekly or monthly AI summaries when you request them
- Unlock and maintain Premium entitlement when you subscribe
- Operate optional account and sync features when you opt in
- Respond to support requests you send us
- Improve reliability and security of the App
- Comply with law and enforce our Terms
4. How we share your information
We do not sell your personal information.
We may share information only in these situations:
- Service providers that help us operate the App when a feature requires them (for example Apple or Google for in-app purchases and optional Sign in with Apple or Google Sign-In; Supabase and Google Gemini when you request a Premium AI summary; a backend provider such as Supabase for optional account/sync features if you enable them).
- Exports you create: If you generate and share a summary (for example PDF or CSV) with a clinician or another person, that sharing is under your control.
- Legal and safety: When required by law, valid legal process, or to protect rights, safety, and security.
- Business transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate protections.
5. Data storage and security
Local App data is stored on your device using encrypted storage. Optional synced data (if you enable account/sync) may be transmitted and stored with our service providers using industry-standard protections such as encryption in transit. When you request a Premium AI summary, the limited snapshot described above is transmitted using encryption in transit to generate the summary and is not used to build advertising profiles.
No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure. We work to protect your information, but we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Your data rights and choices
- Access and correction: You can view and edit much of your data in the App.
- Deletion: You may delete logs, entries, or AI summaries in the App where available, and you may request deletion of account-related data by contacting us. If we provide an in-app “Delete my data” control, use that for a local wipe. Platform backups or store receipts may remain with Apple or Google under their policies.
- Export: Where available, you may export summaries you choose to generate.
- Optional features: You can decline account creation and still use free logging features. You can also decline Premium AI summaries; free logging does not qualify for AI services.
Depending on where you live (for example under CCPA or GDPR), you may have additional rights. Contact us to exercise them. We aim to respond within 30 days.
7. Children’s privacy
The App is intended for adults (typically 18+). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under 16 where that is the applicable age). If you believe a child has provided information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
8. Data retention
Local data (including AI summaries saved in the App) remains on your device until you delete it, clear app data, or uninstall the App (subject to your device and backups). Account or synced data, if any, is retained while your account is active and as needed to provide the service, then deleted or anonymized within a reasonable period after deletion requests, except where law requires longer retention. Transient processing needed to generate an AI summary is retained by providers only as needed to operate that request under their applicable terms and retention practices.
9. International transfers
If you use optional cloud features or Premium AI summaries, your information may be processed in the United States or other countries where we or our providers (including Supabase and Google) operate. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards.
10. Third-party links and services
The App may link to third-party sites or services (for example privacy policy pages, store pages, or share sheets). Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy. We will change the “Last updated” date and may provide additional notice for material changes. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated policy. If you do not agree, stop using the App and delete your data as needed.

14. Legal compliance
We design our practices with applicable consumer privacy expectations in mind, including frameworks such as CCPA (where applicable), GDPR (where applicable), and the requirements of Google Play and the Apple App Store. Reproductive and health-related data is treated as sensitive. We do not use it for advertising.
